  5. Then add your chicken with the marinade and let it cook. Stirring occassionally so it doesnt stick on the pot..
  6. Once the oil has separated from the stew, it raises up. turn off the gas..
  7. Wash your rice, bring water to boil, add salt and little oil - add the rice and steam..
  8. Mix your food color with little oil - Once rice is ready, sprinkle the food color on top or in layers, add your caramelized onions (1 half) and raisins. (NB: This is not mandatory - you can skip the onions and the raisins).
  9. Your biriani is ready! Enjoy with kachumbar or cooked chilli or Both!.
